Sierra 42 is a non-profit youth initiative that creates opportunities for youth to reach their full potential by providing holistic programs that promote positive social interactions, strong interpersonal skills and reassert a sense of hope in the future. Our aim is to bridge the gap between diverse communities by breaking down barriers, fostering inclusivity and recognizing the hard work of youth based on their merit.

Ed Armstrong has been with the Windsor Police Service for 23 years and is currently the first ever Black Staff Sergeant in the history of the Windsor Police Service. In 2018, he transitioned from one of the leaders on the Tactical Team to the Sergeant within the Community Services Branch. This was an eye-opening experience and started to lay the foundation for the development of Sierra42. Ed was able to act as a role model and work towards eliminating barriers face by marginalized communities. Furthermore, through community collaborations, he was fascinated hearing the unique stories and experiences of those within diverse communities and soon realized that these stories needed to be shared and not just confined to particular diversity groups.
Les has over 30 years’ experience as a Recording and Audio Engineer and is also a Music Producer, Singer, Songwriter and Performer. Les has worked with multiple artists around the world. Les has extensive experience working with youth as a Talent and Vocal Coach. He is the founder of City Boy Media and currently works all over Ontario capturing the subject’s unique essence with an eye behind a lens, a mind of creativity and the editing skills to display them in an unforgettable way.
